Balance Point is designed to work without an app account, advertising profile, or Balance Point server holding your health record.

The Balance Point app
Balance Point stores measurements, goals, notes, profile information, interventions, dose history, and imported archive data in its private app database. When available and enabled, those records can sync through your private iCloud container. Rival Bear does not operate a Balance Point account or application server, and the app contains no advertising SDK.
Apple Health
With your permission, Balance Point reads supported body measurements and dietary totals from Apple Health. It writes only supported body measurements and calorie totals you explicitly enter. It never writes estimates, trends, projections, goal plans, or macro values as Health measurements.
Apple Health samples remain owned by Apple Health and their source applications. Erasing Balance Point data does not erase imported Health samples. When Balance Point owns a Health sample you ask it to delete, it attempts to remove the Health sample before deleting its linked local record.
iCloud
Optional sync uses Apple's private CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account. Rival Bear cannot browse that private database. Balance Point remains usable locally when iCloud is unavailable.
Archive files
Exports are JSON files you choose where to save or share. The export preview describes what the file contains. Keep exported files private and delete them from their destination when you no longer need them.
Notifications
Optional notifications are generated on your device from your stored trend data. Notification permission can be changed in iOS Settings.
This website
Getbalancepoint.app does not provide accounts, forms, advertising, or behavioral analytics. The site is hosted by Vercel, which may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, and diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the site.
The launch-update link takes you to rivalbear.com. If you join that list, the studio site's privacy terms apply to the email address you provide.
Your choices
You can change Apple Health and notification access in iOS Settings, disable iCloud access, export your archive, or erase Balance Point's local and private-iCloud records from the app's Settings screen.
